Lool at O'Shea (no 22) claping his hands and urging his team mates. He actually thinks there is a chance. SAF reaction was quite classic.

I was watching this outside and Liverpool fans were actually laughing when O'Shea came on for Rooney. A defender for a striker??? But who's having the last laugh now?

I thought Schole already had one yellow card before he was red carded. If that was the case, then it was right that he had his red card but the referee should have shown him his second yellow card followed by the red card. He will serve a 3-match ban; not one.

Anyway, another case of smash and grab after one in the Fulham match. ManU very capable of grabbing a goal in the dying minute.

We broke Anfield's EPL 30 unbeaten matches. We broke the gunners' heart and now we broke their hearts with 10 men. Hooray!!

Yes he got a yellow and if the ref showed him a 2nd yellow and then red card, it will be only a 1 game ban. But its a direct red! 3 games ban damn it!

Liverpool can complain about us being lucky but the ref denied us a clear penalty and gave a harsh red card. I think Scholes swing his arm to protest as he is not known to get into fights.

    Glory, glory, Man United,
    Glory, glory, Man United,
    Glory, glory, Man United,
And the reds go marching on, on, on.
Just like the Busby Babes in Days gone by
We'll keep the Red Flags flying high
You've got to see yourself from far and wide
You've got to hear the masses sing with pride
    United! Man United!
We're the boys in Red and we're on our way to Wem-ber-ly
    Wem-ber-ly! Wem-ber-ly!
We're the famous Man United and we're going to Wem-ber-ly
    Wem-ber-ly! Wem-ber-ly!
We're the famous Man United and we're going to Wem-ber-ly
    In Seventy-Seven it was Docherty
    Atkinson will make it Eighty-Three
And everyone will know just who we are
They'll be singing 'Que Sera Sera'
    United!
    Glory Glory Man United
    Glory Glory Man United
    Glory Glory Man United
As the Reds Go Marching On! On! On!

Reina wasn't played badly last night, just that no one give credit to Ronaldo for the freekick....the power and accuracy....I think even VDS or Cech has problem handling...it was a good stop by Reina actually and it could fall onto anybody's path....if onto mine...I can score as well

Yeah John O'Shea: A defender, defensive midfielder, part-time striker and emergency goalie! Maybe, he'll be a set-piece specialist soon.

Just watched West Ham got hammered. Really devastating blow.

Saw this funny post at HWZ:

The man with the master plan: John O'Shea

O'Shea says, "Let Ronnie whip one in, I'll score at the rebound."

    Giggs says, "You serious? "
O'Shea says, "The plan is on!" to Ronaldo, who was walking towards Giggs

O'Shea whispers to Ronaldo, "Listen to Giggsy before taking this free-kick."

O'Shea whilst clapping, "Come on guys, we can do this! Lets get on with the plan!"

Giggs whispers the master plan to Ronaldo.

The rest is history. Thanks to redcafe for the delightful slideshow

A little update about Roy Keane....

Sunderland chief Roy Keane has been named as Championship manager of the month for February.

Keane led The Black Cats into the play-off positions after a run of four games and a draw from five matches.

Only a last-minute equaliser from Birmingham City striker DJ Campbell denied Sunderland a perfect record during the month.

And February ended with Keane seeing his side overcome fellow promotion rivals Derby County 2-1 at The Stadium of Light.

While Keane was happy to see his side's efforts rewarded, he conceded he is 'irritated' by the award.

"It's a nice reflection on the team, but the award will probably go in the garage, I'm focusing on the team and our match at West Brom," Keane told the club's official website.

"There's no point getting an award halfway through the season, it kind of irritates me. ---->

"I'm part of an important team here and hopefully the accolades can go to the players and the staff at the end of the season."

The Irishman's former international manager Mick McCarthy took second spot for the month after Wolves also picked up 13 points from their five games.

Leicester City's Rob Kelly came in third, while West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Mowbray took fourth place.

He MIGHT bring Sunderland up and come back to old trafford as a rivial manager. Sunderland is currently 4th in Div1. He transform them from a struggling team to a promotion spot contender.

Well, judging from his success with Sunderland, who knows, Keano might be the next boss at OT when SAF steps down.

    Lille not out for revenge:

LOSC Lille Metropole defender Matthieu Chalme says the French side are not looking for revenge in the last 16 second leg clash at Old Trafford on Wednesday.

Ryan Giggs's match-winning free-kick sparked protests from the Lille players, who seemed to be contemplating an unprecented walk-off.

Play resumed, but after the game les dogues officials took the matter up with UEFA, who rejected the original complaint and then vetoed an appeal.

However, Chalme says over-turning the one-goal deficit is the only aim the Lille players have when they visit Old Trafford on Wednesday.

"We're not thinking about the game as a chance to get revenge, we've got nothing against United," he told UEFA.com.

"It was just sad to lose after playing really well. Now we have to score two goals over there. The whole club is focused on that and we haven't let our heads drop."

Having been beaten by relegation-threatened Nice last week, Lille prepared for the trip to Manchester with a 4-0 win at home against Troyes AC at the weekend. And Chalme insists the last 16 tie is by no means over.

"It's not finished yet, as our first-leg performance proves," he said. "We matched them in the tackle, in our commitment and going forward. We were patient at the start, then after the break we caused them trouble on the counter and got to the loose balls first."
Who will believe they not out for revenge when they r sore loser?

Lille let loose hidden talent (A pacey winger):

Lille will give United as stern a test at Old Trafford as they did a fortnight ago at Stade Felix-Bollaert, but this time Claude Puel will be able to unleash Kader Keita, a pacy winger who was instrumental in their progression to the knockout stages.

The 26-year-old Ivory Coast international was outstanding in Lille's 3-1 win over AEK Athens and scored in the 2-0 victory against AC Milan, which clinched qualification to the last 16.

Having served out a one-match suspension for the first leg at in Lens, the attacking midfielder is available for selection on Wednesday.

"I'm not going to Manchester thinking that I'll be Lille's secret weapon," a modest Keita told uefa.com. "I'll go there in a calm state of mind and I'll fight hard for the victory just like all of the Lille players."

However, his influence in the group stages has seen him highlighted by United assistant boss Carlos Queiroz as one of Lille's dangermen.

Keita says Lille, as a team, must not be underestimated. "A lot of people look at Lille and think we're a small team that doesn't have a chance," he said.

"But we won 2-0 in Milan and showed that in a single game anything can happen. Like Milan, Manchester have many great players. We may not have any big names at Lille but we have a strong desire and we'll keep fighting until the end."
