Default Any feedbacks on the Sigma 17-70mm??

hi guys.. anyone using the above??... wats the optics like compared to 17-35 and 28-75??...

nv use before but i have some information about this lens with some picture.

Not wide enough , so you are looking at 16-80mm???

or 10-20mm, 11-17mm or 12-24mm.

my 6. wide lens. i still searching on it...

see other ppl want to let go there lens or not...

looking for a good lens must think x2 oh..

no $$ for ultra wide lens wor.. heehee
17-70 seems to be a very good range... wonder hows it compared to the tamron 17-50 or the tokina 16-50??...
btw does any one knows when will the carl zeizz 16-80 be released??

USD700. hmm.....actually comparing it to other CZ lenses, this is relatively cheap. those 50mm CZ primes cost like 2-3k. saw it in some US site in nikon mount.




edited: aiyah, but it is only for APS-C dslr. guess that high price would not really justify well then.

see how many of us getting, may be can do a MO for the cow
But if you want to get it immediately after launch, I don't think the price will be cheap. It also depend on supply and demand of the market.

Like other APS-C lens, I suspect it may be able to be used from 22 (or 24)-80mm for full frame, 16-22mm will have block corner. Vignetting may be an issue also , need to try then know.

the tamron 17-50 juz won a dunno eilsa award... is it really tat good?.. how much is it retailing for anyone knows?

i think good is relative. my sigma 18-50 also quite alot of good reviews, but problem is that minolta mount dun have HSM, so the AF is crawling slow. if the tamron AF is fast, heh heh.............you will be seeing a sigma in WTS.
