Default Weaver Ants

Well, almost run out of insects to shoot, and almost 7pm....quite dark, than I spotted the weaver ant with a larvae. The nest was quite small, so I thought must be few ants inside, and since I also dunno what was inside, I peeled open the leaf quickly, and OUT CAME THE QUEEN!!! Yikes! It was huge! First time seeing it, and I think I have seen it before, with wings, but did not know they were Queen designate!

#1: These are the Larvae

#2: Introducing the QUEEN

#3: Want to see the relative sizes?

#4: See how they patronise the Queen!...personal leg massage....

#5....Personal hair grooming.....
