Hello everyone,
It is my first time taking fireworks. I find that the night mode seems better than the fireworks mode. Wonder anyone thinks the same ? What's the diff between the 2 modes ? |

hmm... i'm using the the fx01 and found it to be the same.
the night scenery allows longer exposure for the surroundings whereas the fireworks mode doesn't. hence if you're just taking pictures of the fireworks only, then the fireworks mode will suffice. otherwise, the night scene mode will be better in capturing the buildings/scenery with the fireworks. however, i found the time lag rather long for my fx01 when using the night scene mode for the fireworks. it's just not fast enough, i would have gotten more shots if the processor is speedier in saving the shots... sigh... hmm... on second thoughts, maybe my sd card is the problem since it's not a high-speed one... anybody got a clue? or is the high-speed card necessary only for multiple exposures? ![]() |

For cameras with manual control, we usually turn the NR off when taking fireworks so that the processing time is not too long. For many P&S cameras, NR is automatically activated when long exposure (such as over 1 sec) is used and therefore it takes a long time to process and save the picture when taking shots in night or fireworks mode. For fireworks pictures, NR is very frustrating bcos it increases processing time.....but for P&S, there isn't no choice.....
