    Default Canon Digital IXUS v vs Sony DSC-P7

    Which DC is better (in term of image quality)? Cos consider either one of them.

    In terms of image quality, they are probably almost equal since are both are 3 mp cams.

    What you should pay attention to are other factors such as cost and features on the camera.

    For a start, sony digicams only use memory sticks, which can be pretty expensive (max 128 Mb = ~$110). On the other hand, the ixus uses compact flash (128 Mb = ~$75, 256 Mb = $140, ...).

    As for features, do you see yourself taking nightshots? If yes, sony might be out 'coz the max shutter is only 2s whereas the v3 can go up to 15s.

    Perhaps the only better points of the p7 is the 3x zoom and mpeg-ex movie mode.

    Personally, I'll go for the v3

    BTW, who know where to get the cheapest V3 (with stock)? What is the price now?

    Any other recommendations? I heard from my collegue that when
    he used V3 to take photo and transfer to PC, it look very dark. Do
    V3 users having this problem too?

    Probably the monitor not calibrated?
