How can i get the best out of FZ7 for fireworks shot?
Do i use the built-in firework option? Or use the manual settings?

from what i know fz fireworks setting are pretty good, but you can also use manual and do the setting urself. its all up to you, there is not 1 correct way to shoot anything. you might wan to make use of today firework to test out which setting is better and use that setting on sat fireworks

I'm newbie also.. i set my settings at f5.6 for about 2 - 6 secs.. if i set my aperture to f8, then about 6 secs.. but i find that f8 not very nice for FZ7.. dunno why.. but honestly the pre-set settings in scene mode is actually very good.. to get more shots i do auto-bracket at about 1 step so it doesnt really mess up the exposure.. but if you plan to take 1 shot at a time, i usually take the shots with -1 ev. Wait for the FZ5 pros to put in comments.. some of them are really helpful like metalilan and ExplorerZ..

I've close to no experience with respect to this, but I've tried using that preset mode on my fz5 and it churned out the best results among those taken using it and other settings that I've played around with.

I tried the 3 the settings at last nite SFF, true enuff, the pre-set settings comes out better then the 2 manual settings. Think i still a newbie in manual photography, dats y the pics taken using the maunal turns out abit blurish.

what do you mean by blurish? blur? if that the case i think its more likely due to focusing not really on manual unless you exposed too much that the smoke make it blurry
