Thread: How to merge 2 photos?

    Default How to merge 2 photos?

    ie, lets say one underexposed one

    and one overexposed one

    to get one ideal pic?

    i am using photoshop elements 4.0

    How are you gonne get perfect register image from two image??

    anyway, a quick fix to an underexposed image, is to make a dupicate layer, and change the blend mode of top layer to screen, you can keep make a few dupicate layers until you get what you want.

    for overexpose image, do the samething, but the blend mode change to multiple.

    this is just a quick fix, nothing beats an image with proper exposure.

    Hi there Bent - another good tutorial for you to read below. It's a very useful technique to get detail out of skies as well as darker foregound - really does improve the dynamic range.

    Think one of the photo mags had a "how to..." relating to Photoshop on this recently as well. They're worth a flick through once a month in Borders (!) to see if there are useful articles before buying...
