Hi sykestang,

Interesting series.
Please correct me if I am wrong. Judging from the colour for the sky, these shots should be around 7pm to 8pm timing (except the Merlion shot).

In Stamford Hotel room @47th Storey... I booked a room there that day to shoot fireworks. Thus took this shot when the sky turn dark.

Agreed.

In fact I should have used my PC28 lens to correct the perspectives as well. If not for the greed on using a wider lens to capture a wider angle. Hmmm... Nikon should come up with a wider angle PC lens.

The longer exposure thingy will not help much, cos the brightness of each building is different, for eg, the UOB building is already on the verge of over-exposure. Any longer, there would not be any details left.

Thanks... mine is still long way to go. You should have seen jamesong's night photography... he has disappeared for a while now, PM him and ask him to show you his.

If you really like to learn from my 'not really pro' shoots, maybe we could meet up sometimes and do some really nice night photography. Hmmm... for my next community outing, maybe. I've seen some really nice architectures that look really nice with the night lights on. The new university and the newly renovated museum is one of the good building to take.

We can capture shoots like this:

Hotel 1929, Keong Siak Street

'5 foot way', Keong Siak Street

Christmas Deco@Wisma Atria, Orchard Road

Hey, I was wondering if the reflections are disturbed by the waves. If so, then will taking at a faster shutter-speed help? like before the 2nd wave hiting the 1st wave.
