Can I lacquer or something? Any way to protect from further fading? Thanks in advance.
To prevent yourself from forgetting the keys, may I suggest u to constantly type in the dark or blindfold yourself when typing, it will help u very much.

Hey! That's exactly the test I went through during my NS (I was a clerk back then). The chief clerk reads out the passage and you type in the dark (using a manual typewriter some more!). That was memorable! Think I failed the test but hey, it's the army, they do 'close both eyes', sometimes!

That's what we are expected to be able to do - type blindfolded/in the dark, when I took up a secretarial course.

We ain't exactly tested on this aspect but at the end of the course, with the exception of a few, all were able to touch type flawlessly.
