Default SFF2006 - Team Singapore

Shot around 40-50 shots...only about 1/3 are decent. No thanks to the smoke.

Show starts!

My 2nd shot and it is starting to get smokey...

We have the worst spot damn barge was covering my shot, no smoke but worst spot for taking pictures, we were under the shears bridge, i won't recommend that place. it's too near and lots of distractions.

Thanks for sharing bro. Nice shots!

One suggestion: if you can shoot using portrait, so that the cenotaph is removed, that would give you another perspective too.

Which floor of Bras Basah complex did you shoot from?

Seems not high enough and quite a significant amount of low level fireworks have been blocked out by Marina Square.

I intend to shoot from there on Friday.

Thanks in advance.

I was there too cuz the sheares bridge was too crowded. Actually intend to go elsewhere but the bridge is the best place to view fireworks wif my gf.

It is the same location as smallaperture when he took the last Sat's fireworks.

The highest level is 24th storey, which was packed at 8 pm. So I went down to 20th and it was empty.

Your cam is probably newer than mine...I am using a D100 and 18-70mm lens. Cheap setup.

Actually, shooting fireworks is quite easy. Yesterday's night was only my 4th attempt on shooting fireworks.

White balance is AWB. What should it be?

I did not do any post-processing, no cropping. I shot JPG. Pics are straight out of the cam.

Good effort. A little PP might improve your shots somewhat. Do play with levels a bit and adjust to your liking.

Haha, reminds me of my shoot. After seeing so many nice shots, my right index finger itchy liao, so feel like going for another round of shoot again, either this Fri or Sat.

WB - I suggest sunlight.

Thanks. I got to the location but forgot what WB you told me in your thread.
I know the buildings are unexposed.

Too bad I shot in JPG. If in raw, I can change it.

Right finger itchy...shoot today!

Thanks for the tips anyway!
