read about it, seems like can also be used for dehumidifying... some new drybox also using this, but wonder how they do it...

sounds familiar...use before when i was studying 'a' lvl chemistry

sodium silicate solution, just dissolve your sodium silicate powder in water

then add metal salts and you can grow "chemical gardens"

different salt should give the characteristic colour of that metal, eg. copper salt should be blue, nickel - green, cobalt - pink

i remember it was so difficult to remove the plants from the test tube afterwards...LOL

    no worries...

    Sigma Aldrich

try this.. they have in solution cat no.33,844-3 25 ml, 1L or 3L... (sorry i can't get u the link, i'm using my own catalog that i use for ordering)

    they are abit expensive though.

    merck also has
    http://www.merck.com.sg/

cat no. 1.05621.2500, but only 2.5 l (bottle)

    merck is usually cheaper.

depends what you're using it for...
ultrapure is usually used for experiments where impurities will cause the results to be questionable... ie u want to see the effect of x on the expt and only x..

if you just want the chemical catalyse something den maybe it wun matter... 95% purity upwards cost more...
