Hi guys, managed to squeeze in my tripod amidst the crowd on Sheares bridge.. was there very late... haha..
Seems like most of my shots are very smoky... Am I too near to the fireworks? Would standing further behind result in less smoky shots?? Anyway, heres my first attempt ![]() ![]() ![]() Please advise on how to improve on shooting fireworks.. Wanna try again tmr leh ![]() Last edited by m00nman26; 7th August 2006 at 08:45 AM. |

quite nicely done..considering its your first attemmpt..
to remove the smoke..simply sit at the non-somking area loh....hhahaha...heh..just joking ah.. back to the question...actually the problem happens in singapore..my shifu told me last time that fireworks in singapore got lots of smoke and very messy as well...but generally, i think its quite hard to get rid of the smoke..got to trial and error...out of 100 shots, maybe 5 can use only.. |

You can try to remove the smoke by using PS Levels tools. Pull in the black point slider until the smoke dissapear. You may then need to use Layer Mask to gently bring back the "tip" of the fireworks or any other parts necessary. Good luck!
