Another shot in "invisible" mode.
It's important not to go in and shoot straightaway. That is sure to get attention. Stroll up, WAIT for your subjects to realise you are there, then WAIT AGAIN for them to turn their attention away from you, THEN take out your camera and shoot, as naturally as possible. Taken from the hip. The guy in the centre knew I was taking pictures, that's why his head is slightly bowed. ![]() |

I doubt if it would work if you use your D30 instead. Size of the camera I believe plays an important part. The bigger it is, the more "intimidated" people may feel.

That's why I bought the IXUS!
On a related note, my D30 just grew quite a bit bigger with the BG-ED3 battery grip. However, I discovered a cool new use for the vertical grip shutter button - you can use it to take a picture from the waist while the camera is hanging from your neck, and people will think you're adjusting the strap or something! Of course, this must be done is a noisy place, where the shutter sound (actually the mirror slap) cannot be heard. |

I also got a S30 with under water case for my gf, good for these kind of shots also btw, went to Big Splash yesterday...the water so salty...sea water i suppose.....too bad i went there quite late, and becos of the rain, the tall slide closed at 5.45pm already....no chance to try that..may be will go there another day
