recently during one of the NDP preview fireworks,i noticed the only way to capture more frames is to use auto-bracket.
the duration when the image is captured and processed into the SD card takes a few seconds which is slower than my old camera. what mode would FZ5 users recommend for the fastest method of snaping away at fireworks? does switching to a high speed SD card helps? |

i"m not an FZ5 camera user. but its an excellent camera. are you using a very large file setting? tiff/ raw? maybe consider of changing to raw if you are desperate. using a higher speed card may help as long as ur camera has a high internal transfer speed too

If we are talking about burst mode, I am in.
I realised that my FZ5 can only take multiple shots up to 3 regardless of "L", "H", "infinity sign". if i really want to take "infinity" multi-shots, i have to HOLD down the shutter button. This defect the purpose of placing my camera onto the tripod if i have to manually press the shutter button. Anyone with any idea whether is it is possible to take "infinity" shots without holding down the shutter buttons? it will be very useful especially now is the fireworks festival season. Thanks |

there is not NR off for fz5, which means the longer the shutter you use, the more time will be spent on processing the image, thus it take a very long time before you are given to shoot the next 1. its not that much of a problem to fz5 about writing speed of SD card... a slow card at most take 1s to write a jpeg on it, but the processing will take roughly the same time as ur shutter. which mean if you are using f8 at 4s, you will be spending another nearly 4s on processing
correct me if im wrong |

Thanks ExplorerZ,
I believe most of us will face this problem that when we press the shutter button while the camera is on tripod, it will cause vibrations which can affect our shots. On the other hand, using the timer is alright for taking night sceneries, but it is not good enough for fireworks. any idea on how to improve this? i also know that there is no remote control for FZ 5. I was wondering if FZ 7 can take multi-shots without holding on to the shutter button or is there remote control for it? |

The fireworks mode is actually quite good as well...saw a fellow Lumixer yesterday with great results using that mode... |

auto bracket only needs to press shutter once, then auto snap 4 pictures. my SD card is just a normal kingston card, not high speed. |

Explorer Z mentioned that there is some kind of remote "grid" which i think will cause vibration when press. |

. but as compared to pressing the shutter manually, the vibration is much much much lower and i doubt it will cause any blur image unless you tripod head is really "jelly" like.and as for remote cable, like i have already said many times, there is not such thing for fz5/fz7 other than the 1 i put in my previous post (the one we talking about above) |
