IMHO,I think the stones are not close enough to make the kind of impact shot.

edwinywh...on the contrary...I think they are alright. The picture looks very mystical....how did dat happen, Nicky? DId anyone threw dry ice onto the shore? On the whole...it's a good shot taken.

that is the typical effect of prolonged shutter duration in coastal landscape photography. also used in shots of stream boulder

Yeah I know what you mean. With the stones up close, probably can see better effects of a stationary object against the lashing (foggy) waves in a long exposure. Actually I tried that version but well it doesn't work for me, at least with this scene. Thanks for your input

Hi Joecool, like what zoosh said, the effect was achieved with long exposure. In this case, 10s exposure. Thanks for the compliment
