Thread: Photo Montage programs?

    Default Photo Montage programs?

    Hi,

Anyone has experience of these so called photo montage programs? The idea of such programs is that one picture is actually created from multiple thumbnail images. When searching I found two such a programs:

Serif Montage Plus (http://www.serif.com/creativity/montageplus1) and ArcSoft PhotoMontage (http://www.arcsoft.com/products/photomontage).

I wonder if someone is using either of those programs? Or something similar?

    Are those good ones?

I tried to find out also what is the maximum size of the output picture? Could you create big posters, like A1 or A0 size?

I think the arcsoft one is good (I think I used it once for tryout). The other I'm not so sure. I think one can also get some freeware that does something similar (can't remember which I used before). As for the maximum size to A1 or A0 shouldn't be a problem; I think your immediate concern is to provide enough photos to give better resolution to your bigger photo. Try to search for some freewares first for tryouts.

I had a project earlier this year where I needed to make a photomontage as the TS described and did a survey of the programs available at that time...I found that this shareware program called mazaika gave the best results...and they are prompt with email queries as well...go Boris, you rock!
