Default Is this advisable?

I have a lowpro waistbelt with a large len case (lowpro), and I wonder if it is safe for me to just slide my cam with 75-300mm lens into this set up macham like cow boy??

Please advice.

Thank you.

if the lens case means the body is exposed at the top when not in use, you're exposing it to a certain risk when you're squatting down or something. i'd say avoid it. furthermore, if it's top heavy, don't event think about it.
