the torns which should not be very tough at the side of each torn...only the point is the "hardest" due to shape. the rodent probably gnaw & tear it with the small but sharp teeth. maybe has to do with ripeness too?

after all, the seeds are supposed to be scattered by animals, right?

haha...ya its supposed to be scattered by animals...it makes me wonder, why must durians have torns in the first place

So the fruit can protect the seeds while it is developing before it is ready to be propagated by nature
