Thread: Challenging outdoor shoot

    Hi Long Thai Bean,

The whole bridge will not be sealed. Only parts which we are using will be. Even if I can seal off the whole bridge, I won't for there is no reason to do so. We have no control of 'kapo' pple shooting around the corner to trigger the strobes. Pple shooting beside us, that we can ask for their cooperations. You are wrong to say that we can't find an area to shoot.

To corner off a little area for the shoot is probably the best mad scientist can do ...

There will prob be too much traffic on and around the bridge that day to even find an area to shoot ... That's not taking into consideration also other 'kapo' people shooting along side without the organiser knowing .... and triggering off the strobes ...

Anyway ... it is 2 more days to the "challenging shoot" I am definately keen to see who had signed up for the shoot already.

Would be grateful if you can elaborate on this difficulty so that we can suggest alternatives

    Hi vince123123,

Thanks for your help. All I can say is human factors, This shoot is not anywhere difficult, except for the transportation which may require more work. But I got it all covered,

Well, human factors doesn't tell much, factors are human or non-human :P My view is that if its worht mentioning, then mention it with details. No point saying "there are difficulties but I'm not telling you what it is". Might as well don't mention it in the first place.

It's also need impossible to get any decent shot using camera mounted lights in a mass shootouts. This is not challenging, it's mind boggling. OK, even if the photographers are not going to submit any pictures, still, they should be given a chance getting some decent pictures. With so many people firing their flashes at the same time, MAY I ASK, HOW?

I am commenting becasue I am stating facts!
I agree with you... ** perhaps the waiting photographers should set their flashes to slave mode while waiting their turn **

Forgive me for saying this, but this isn't getting anywhere. Perhaps you should rethink:

    1) the scheme i.e. introducing too many dynamics:
    a) the initial models
    b) the hair thing
    c) the flash thing
    d) the selection thing
    e) the location thing
    2) the responses
    3) closing this thread

I suppose the questions here arise from ambiguity. While you have valiantly tried to answer the questions, perhaps simplifying your intent might gain better success and response.

I think it is quite pointless now after so valiantly defending the concept, the preparation and the proposed execution. Backing down now, closing the thread and changing the concept would be an admission that it was an ill conceived idea in the first place.

What if halfway through shooting people want to cross the Singapore River? Do they need to jump in the water to swim across? Is the bridge going to be sealed by commandos or policemen?

I don't think LTB needs a plug, he might want to ask about a power socket, not a plug!
Brudder!! Funny... Wahahahahahahaah!!!! Ur thread I mean... Not u, u r serious. I know.
