the pics are great, but I felt personally, some shots could be frame better, especially using rule of 2/3. Some animals shots are crop too tight. maybe some sense of wildness since this is in Africa, ie more of the nature.
Here in Singapore, I will say gives a tigher crop, since u dun want the pic to have grills or fencing in them. |

Thanks for your comments.
Starrynight - I used Canon 100-400L or 70-200L IS lenses. Most of photos below are taken with 100-400L lens. I need to try to increase the temperature and see what is the result. Bwilly - could you please specify what pictures you propose to frame differently? I have often also a wider version of different photos but I selected on purpose more close-up photos. Although I tried to practise animal photography e.g. in Singapore zoo, I noticed it is much more difficultier with wild animals. Many of the animals are pretty scary and often you have only few seconds to get your photo. However, I can highly recommend visiting in Tanzania. Tens of thousands of different animals, a lot of good photo opportunities and unforgettable memories. I'll post few more photos later... |

Hi,
It is quite difficult to give any estimations. The prices vary a lot depending on the time you visit there, the quality of the accomodation, the length of the trip and size of the group. You can get some idea looking for Singaporean based travel agency: http://www.boac-online.com/ - select "Tanzania" from left-hand side and then "Ngorongoro Crater & Serengeti Migration Safari" in "Trips" section. There the prices start from $ 2350 excl. air fare. Flights SIN-Dubai-Nairobi cost about $1600. But as I said, it varies a lot. You can pay much more if you choose 5-star accomodation or much less if you select to stay in simple tent. Usually the packets are full-board. You can shop normal souvenier things (books, jevellery, handicraft etc.) and I have to admit those were not that cheap. Hope this helps a bit...
