Use left hand if dont have remote. In case you guys dont know, if you flip yr camera with a battery grip upside down, you can hold it with your left hand and shoot. Its a bit odd but it works. However remember to rotate yr photos 180 deg on PC.

You still have four other fingers, right?
As a professional, I cannot be handicapped by cut, crashed or broken fingers.
I remember 4 years ago, my finger was crashed by the passenger-side door of a GMC Camero (not my car). I was living in the U.S. then.
Can you image this? The door of a GMC Camero weights as much as a 7 year-old boy, slammed onto my right index finger - OUCH!!!!!! Worst of all, I had an important wedding to shoot the very next day. I had to utilize my middle finger to trigger the shutter most of the time. I had trouble even to hold my camera sturdy.
Thank God, my finger managed to recover in 2 months. However, I can tell you I had trouble writing, typing, eating, taking a shower, driving, holding my coffee mug and my keys, etc.....
