well, i got this Raynox DCR-6600 Pro quite some time already, but quite disappointing on the vignetting, till i got the adapter tube (one 55-52 and one 53-52 for DCR-6600) from taiwan. no post-processing for the pics, only resized.
![]() taken at wide end ![]() wide end with wideangle lens, no vignetting! ^_^ the flare at the bottom should be due to the long exposured under electric light... >_< ![]() 6x zoom with wideangle lens |

here are some pic of the lens:
![]() wideangle compare to CD size ![]() backview of the wideangle, note that the adapter tube (written raynox DCR-6600...) is modified one from Taiwan, which is shorter than the original one. ![]() frontview of the wideangle, btw, anyone know is there any 72mm thread cir polarizer can work with wideangle? in summary, this wideangle lens is superb for s602, especially with modified tube, no vignetting, what else i can say? ![]() |

Looks good
Distortion is pretty minimal and there doesn't seem to have any CA. "magnification" is also as claimed. Also the size is pretty small and you don't need to engage the macro mode when you take pics (I need to do so for my Sony wide-angle converter). Good buy for you! ![]() btw, saw this in Hong Kong and was quoted ~HK$980 for it. Could probably bargain down a bit. Last edited by mpenza; 3rd January 2003 at 01:04 AM. |

the adapter tube is from a guy from taiwan, his website is here: http://vipweb.url.com.tw/MSCHEN3/ but the adapter is S$45 including a tube for Raynox DCR-6600, not so cheap i feel. compared to the one selling in s'pore, the end thread (52mm) is bigger and the adapter is shorter. u can see the lens just a bit bit inside the adapter, where the one in s'pore is more inside. |

Chenwei
If you looking for Polariser for use with WA, you need to get those slim type. Or you can choose to use a 72-77 step-up ring and use a 77mm polariser. Remember to test it out 1st b4 getting. *not cheap tho* |
