Post Test result of S602 with Raynox DCR-1850 Pro Teleconverter

this is my test result of Raynox DCR-1850 Pro teleconverter used on fujifilm s602z, all pic are taken in F11, shuttle speed of 2.5s-5s, from the same distance. no post-processing, only resized.

this is taken at wide end.

this is taken at tele end.

this is taken at tele end + digital zoom

with teleconverter, no UV, the vignetting is still ok for me... ^_^ the flare is due to long exposure under electric light?

zoom half (or more a bit) the vignetting gone.

tele end + tele converter + digital zoom

here are some pic of the lens:

teleconverter with the free pouch, CD beside for size comparing.

front view of the lens, no front filter thread... :-(

back view of the lens...

i think the lighting is poor, if i have time this weekend, may try more sample shots. the lens is a bit bigger than the DCR-1800, but quite satisfied of the quality.

Shoot some high contrast areas. Shooting leaves against sun light is one way.

Btw, I think shooting some normal shots will do. It'll be good to see how this TC performs in normal situations.

Chenwei, can you try shooting at f/2.8? I believe the CA is a lot worse at that apperture setting?

Wow, this one is really bad. I assume that's taken at f/2.8? Did you try stepping down the apperture to, say, f/8 and shooting the same scene just for comparison?

Didn't you say you noted here liao? How come ask me the same question again? Yeah, the apperture setting does affect CA, usually there's a certain setting that gives the least CA, you can try it out and post some results.

CA seems quite bad for the first few pics, but the last pic shows that it's still a pretty good TC. From what I read, CA can be avoided if you know the TC well and use it carefully.
