This is a kitten found at my place's liftlanding with all its barang barang. I'm sure somebody abandoned it. Well, cut story short, another neighbour who love cats took this fella in. But what's going on with people nowadays?
Anyway, I am just a passerby who took some shots of it. ![]()

catchlights in the kitten's eye is great. but composition wise, i would hope that the ears are not cut off as well. is that a collar or something on it? hmmm. i would prefer the body to be slightly focuses as well. looks weird without a body somehow.

Koelsh has some valid points about the comosition. Try not the cut off the ears next time. I think it would look better as with a tighter 5:4 crop if you want the focus on the face.

Beautifully done. I have no problem with the crop.

Wonderful. Good expression. Only needs a touch more depth of field I feel.

Nice but I prefer one without the ears cut off.
Personal opinion though. Great shot! |

Thanks everyone for your kind comments.
This photo was shot in a dark corridor with a 50mm at f/1.8. I want the lighting to focus on the eyes and to look as natural as possible. And also want to bokeh off the very ugly looking collar belt. And if I put in more DOF, I feel that it will look very cluttered in b&w. As for the crop, just a personal preference. I just want attention to its beautiful whiskers, face and eyes. Cheers PS: Ndroo, who say I only shoot birds? ![]()
