I was in KL yesterday, and the price of the LX1 is $750 with an extra original battery and a carry case., with international warranty.

Was so close to buying it, got my wallet out then realised left my visacard at the hotel. Lucky i didnt buy!! Now that the LX2 is out, which apparantly solving the major issue of Noise in LX1. Cant wait to buy this camera.

Any idea when this camera be in the shops to buy?

woow ! 10MP and high ISO! Hope they can really improve on the noise.

Glad that LX2 has retained most of the LX1 features!

13MB internal memory? Not much use for RAW shooters... can only take 1 RAW shot...

Was hoping they can improve on the fps rate for RAW shots....

And I the all black LX2 is really chio!

Woooooow! LX2 seems incredible from the specs. On dpreview they say "x card" for storage. Look like typo. I really hope they dont mean XD card!

What you find now its probably a great bargain for the LX1, people wanting to sell to upgrade to the LX2. Lets see when the LX2 will come out.

I wish Panasonic used better photos as samples. I mean, come on, I see better compositions here in ClubSNAP.

And all the samples are ISO100 shots. What's the point! CCD noise still not up to par perhaps?

even noise is still visible in the ISO100 samples.

The sample images dun look good. Can see quite a bit of noise and edge artefacts even at iso 100. Check the first portrait. It looks mushy.

The widescreen LCD is great! I have been looking to buy a new LX1 and if they release it at same price as LX1, it will be worth the money already. Cheers to Panasonic. Hope that they really fix the noise issue and 1600 is not a joke like on the FZ7.

In panasonic website, clearly state LX2 using SD or MMC card.

Hopefully the noise really can be improved much. Have been considering of buying LX1 for long time..... but then later decided not to buy it due to noise level.

the noise at ISO 100, even at well lit scenes are so obvious! anything to do with the in-camera sharpening?

haiz... juz wondering y panasonic is riding the MP race for their prosumer where most people who use those camera know stuffs about noise, image quality.
