Default Macro focus problem

Hi guys, as u know, im using a panasonic fz7, i tried focusing on a flower at about 20cm away at ard 8x to make the background blur but somehow the AF doesn't seem to capture the focus i want.. is this the time i chould consider getting the raynox d250? i am thinking of first getting the hoya +4

best is to use telemacro at 12x. If you cant seem to see the focus on the viewfinder, switch to lcd. Raynox is good for super closeup, like bugs etc. Flowers, don't bet on it unless its small. Raynox threads is already small enough, so you have to zoom out about 3-4x to cut the vignetting.

For flowers, nikon 4T is suited.

yes for macro without any close-up filter, either use 1x or 12x. at 8x zoom you will need to be more than 1m away iirc which is even futher than at 12x zoom (1m distance)
