the only complication that arise from using microdrives is... its slow, and it sucks battery... cos its a drive, it have a platter inside that small thingy which spins, so uses more battery life than a normal solid state CF. other than that, the issues would be high altitude (not a problem if using in sg), drop & die (some can drop a few times dun die, but dun trust statistics...) heat issues...

D70/D70S is not a factory, Seagate Micro doesn't work at D70

I have a Seagate 4 GB Microdrive. No problem so far on my D70 and D200. A bit slower than CF card though.

"sucks battery" and "drop and die" is enough to put me off.
yes the price/capacity is good you can take lots of photos but you might also lose lots of photos. and on a single charge you can take less photos. so it is up to your own preferences
