Default Dangerous Acts...

Was looking out of my windows and saw these 2 guys retracting cables that they were using to hoist platform used for painting the blocks...

Took out my 200mm and shoot a few shots... looking at the pics, I was shocked to see that they did not had any safety ropes on them... the weather was quite windy and with cables on the floor, it is an accident waiting to happen!

Isn't there safety regulations on these? They are at the 17th floor...

I support the suggestion to report to the authorities..

they might be lucky this time, but who knows?
and moreover, it is usually the main-contractor who might want to save some $ on safety equipment.

and i pity the workers who are made to work under such circumstances.

Dun bother. I work with one of the biggest Main Con in Singapore.
Warnings are sent to us like daily papers and threwn away.

Those guys are not main con staff, they r just sub cons. They dun bother abt uniform, head gear and safety line.
If ya send the pictures to HDB, the sub contractor company gets the fine or warning from the authorities.

Main con's Registered Safety Officer then will wake up and do his job before the company kana Stop Work Order.
Thats the one that bites their pocket.

Personally, I just hate to work with ppl who cant follow basic rules.
I'm no super hero but just do what you think is right.
dun wori abt the worker, he wont kana sack one lah.
He will just git a verbal warning by his boss. Go for the big fish.

You work with the biggest Main Con in Singapore and you said "dont bother."??!!!
What kind of an attitude is that. We are concern about the safety of the workers and also those below. And you said "dont bother"?????
These workers are humans not animals.
You, who are working for them should at least do something, not tell us DONT BOTHER

I don't know him personally, but that's the fact of life in industry. Only unless authorities step in will companies react. It's normal but sad.

Mr. Jeagga,
If ya good company bother to READ the whole post but do ya UNDERSTAND.
I wrote so much but ya only read the first two words.

The TS wish to print it to show it to the Main Con. To that: "dun Bother"
Stated very clearly "Report it to the Authorities". Dun try to claim that fame.
Let HDB or BCA do their job. To that: " Print and show them"
That's way HDB has the hotline for us, you and me to report it.
Why not MOM or BCA? Becos their are workin in HDB land.
Report to MOM or BCA, they will cc to HDB.
By then, the sub con would have completed the job.
Dun talk to me about my working ethics.

Now, I've added so many CARTOONs for ya good company to read the whole post again.
Besides hating ppl who cant follow basic rules or drawing,
I also hate ppl who dunno wat their tokin abt.
Call me if ya still dun understand or did I forgit any thing in the claim.

Regards,
James

cool it guys... I know what James is talking abt...

Actually, I will call HDB tmr...

Think the sub con here really lousy... last week saw their workers painting blocks and they did not put car covers on those cars below... ended up a few cars got dots of paints on them!! Free pocky dots paints
Lucky my car not there..

Then some owners went to complain to the sub con and he asked his workers to remove the paints from their cars... now then see them putting up car covers...

Every email is recorded and they need to update on the status of the case.
After emailing, buzz them tomorrow and give them a morning call.
Lets see how they reply.

Btw, if ya car kana paint smear. Demand for polishing.
The paint sub cons have a car polish sub con to clean up their mess.
