    Default Singaporean Slangs

    Hi all,

As you may know I am not from Singapore and I have been reading through CS and I have found some words you guys use but I don't really get what it means....
Can someone be kind and post the most common slang use by you and their meaning So I can understand what you guys are talking about...

By slang I mean words such as: liao, walangs......

    thanks Thanks

Singlish has developed to such an extent that it requires a serious full-time study liao.

I'm not from Singapore, I'm not Singaporean, but I have Singaporean friends who swear a lot.
Then they taught me many phrases - but did NOT tell me the exact meaning.
I showed my mum what I learnt and then she said "Why do you go and learn bad words for???"

Those are not even in the minor category of 'swear words'.

The standard 7 word Hokkien expletive can be considered as 'ok'
"Wonders of the Human Mind. Unfathomable to the highest degree."
