Thread: form the drak room...

    Default form the drak room...

Shot with TMax 3200, printed on ilford multigrade at grade 4 (the scanner is bad in duplicating the grain from the pardon the pretty blotchy areas)

Want to make her stand out more.. lotsa highlights from the background due to the white outifts, kinda distracting for the viewers... also any ideas for cropping? (bad image quality due to high compression... scanned files are always so big...)
if my camera is there at the right moment, click, all I have to do is accept it.

The most effective way for isolating her is to go wide open and focus near her. Of course since it's already on the negative, there's no way to do that.

Anyhow, you can't do anything about the white outfits, the best you could do is to correct tone. Research on split grade printing , and toning for colour shifts to 'get depth'.

This is how I will improve it.
