Hi all, i've got a problem with my EOS300D shutter mirror that could not close 100% after shooting a picture. I managed to flip it back to an original position but somehow after that the Camera could not performed auto focus (tested with some other lenses). have you ever had the same experience like mine? how to solve?
If i have to send it to Canon Service Center, may i know roughly how much it costs? thanks! Last edited by bonifas; 12th July 2006 at 01:12 PM. |

Its a known fact.
Your focus mirror aka "the flap that dangles down" syndrome is damaged. For me it happened during Asian Aerospace ...It's been highlighted before. Repair for the part alone would be $25 ... quite cheap.. but its the labour that'll kill $100 odd.. Just replaced mine. No worries. Its not the shutter dying on you.
