Good news, the full/trial version is now available for download from Nikon USA site.
Anybody using it already. How?

Does anyone knows if the NX can be used to load curves onto the D70? Or must i get the Nikon capture s/w instead?

I've downloaded the trail version for NX but couldn't figure out how to load curves.

How is sharing of resources found elsewhere a violation of guidelines?

I see links to DPReview, Nikonians all around, are they all violation?

Huh?! What happend?

I thought rule #8 was about Commercial Advertising or Promotions of other forums? All I saw in the link this afternoon was a discussion about experiences with Capture NX

How does that in anyway promote the other forum or serve to drive us to them???

Isn't the administration going a little over here?

.

With that total cost...., I think I am happy with NC (+ CivIV of course , still a lot cheaper than NX + Control Pro).

Regards,
Arto.

I was doing a side-by-side comparision between Nikon Capture 4 Camera Control (NC4CC) and Nikon Camera Control Pro (NCCP) and found that there really isn't much difference in functionality, aside from the interface. In fact, there's one change that I found really irritating!

In NC4CC you can configure the photo download to send it to NC4's multiple image browser where you can immediately access the photo to do your postprocessing. In NCCP, you only have the option to send it to a viewer, a watched folder and a third option that I can't remember. The problem is that unlike NC4's multiple image browser, NCNX's Viewer doesn't allow you to edit the photo in NCNX directly, meaning that you can't double-click on the image to have it open in NCNX. You still have to go into NCNX's browser to open the image. *Sigh* why can't they have an option to open the image directly in NCNX? How difficult is that?

Don't worry, NCNX and NCCP is just start (v1.0 maybe?). It might be improve in the future. To bad, looks like Nikon drop support for NC (stop at v4.4.0 (windows)) .

Buy CivIV..., and forget about NCNX and NCCP !

Edit: Not NC4CC, it is NCNX. Sorry, too fast...

Regards,
Arto.

I also don't know, ask Artosoft, he claimed that CivIV can do everything and no need anymore Nikon software, but he like don't want to share what it is or tell us about it.
