D70S and D200. both camera fits my budget. but i can't decide on which to choose. i would like to know if D200 is very hard to operate and use. coz the dial n stuff din seem to look very user friendly compare to D70S. any1 can comment on that? need to hear different opinion. thanks

Having D70(2 years liao) n D200 (jus bought it). After used D200 for few week.. more prefer D200
.. more solid feel. The D200 not so hard to operate as long as you know the funtion well.Last edited by Snake; 12th July 2006 at 12:19 AM. |

Every camera is a learning curve. D2XS also hard to operate, but once you get used to it then you'll have no problems with it.
Same goes for D70/D200. If I have your budget, D200 definitely. |

Go for D200 if you can. As for the price now is quite reasonable and
Once you hold it, you will not left go for D70s but other then D2Hs/D2Xs... ![]() |

Since you have been using an F80 for some time now, you should have quite a few lenses, thus you can channel more money to a higher end body.
The D200 is quite simple to catch on. Nikon bodies are pretty consistant from the basic models to the higher end models. On the other hand, you may find the D70s easy to catch on as the body is based on the F80. |

are you looking for something that will handle like your F80? if you want to have more controls, the the D200 would be a good choice. if happy with just F80, then the D70s would be more to your liking.

Oh..i own a D200, bought it earlier half of this yr.
To summarise in short, the D200 is very easy to use, despite additional functions than the D70/s. The menu is also very user-friendly and also features a help button if you're not sure of a specific function, reduces the need of a manual [still quite important though ] The D200, built quality, size of viewfinder, everything is just better than the D70, and D70s, I've played them before and wasn't quite satisfied. The image reproduction could be soft at default sharpness, but it wasn't much of a hindrance, as a good lens or ED-prefered will be much of a help too. To conclude: A good, fast and reliable camera ![]() |

D200 MTL BBB....
The built and feel of the D200 is so much better...some more got vertical Grip... D70s looks like a toy if you put a 70-200VR... |

i have the D70 and D200, and between the 2, i would highly recommend the D200....
the D200 has pro camera functionalities at not-pro camera price.... though the price of D200 is higher than D70, and budget not a problem for you: you pay for what you get, and its worth every cent..... ![]()
