I haven't use this lens before, but I do know for sure f/1.8 is prone to softness. So what is the best largest aperture to get sharp pictures?
I used the f/1.4 version and it's already extremely good at f/2. love the bokeh ![]() |

f4 is a little too small isn't it? how's it at f2.8? have you tried it?

tried it before at f2 and f2.2, it gets pretty sharp from there on.

when i had the lens i shoot anything from f2 to f2.8, looks ok to me.
now i have to learn exactly how to tell my image management program to search the exact EXIF info to dig up the pics :P |

I believe the prime spot should be f/2.8. But 1.8 is really usable. Even if printing large prints.
