y fz50? fz20 have long been somewhat replaced by fz30.. and this 50 is to replace the 30.

anyway fz20 got a advantage over all or most of the other fz... which is 12x zoom f2.8 constant. so far i don think any of the cam offer this feature yet

Fz5 and FZ20 are so far the only 2 FZ cams to get the Highly Recommended award by dpreview.com.. so far the Fz30 & FZ7, even though better in most ways, hasn't been impressive as far as noise control is concerned...

selling me fz5 too! haha.
