Benign, seriously I see absolutely nothing wrong with your lifestyle.

Me also stop serious drinking since I was 25 or 26, now preferring to chill out at a particular quiet bar or have coffee but seriously, the bloody 80/20 rule of non-smoking:smoking tables at cafes is a real put off for me.

Sorry I have to ask this, coz I am clueless due to voluntarily jobless for the past three years.

    Any comments are welcome. Thanks

    What REALLY is the problem?

    What is really bothering you?

my group of friends do not pub/drink as you described. we all meet up for kopi/teh/supper sessions instead. Talk about everything around us, joke and go home after that. Only a few go pubbing but that doesn't bother us much. We're all rather strict about no drinking and driving. So if we intend to drink even if it's a can of beer, we make sure we leave our vehicles at home and go public. Of course, this is discussed before hand. however, we do go home rather late at night because of everyone's busy workload, we all meet late like 10pm.

Rather amazing how you could go jobless for 3 years and still sustain yourself.. I guess the part about going home at wee hours is true becasue friends meet up late due to work commitment. If we all didn't have to work, we sure would like to meet at 8pm and go home by 11.

I came to the conclusion that it takes effort to keep friends together. We all stay in different parts of singapore and friends from seng kang can make their way down to west coast for kopi and I also make trips up to punggol and pasir ris to meet some CSers / friends. I stay inwest of Singapore. If you don't want to put in the effort and want everyone to meet your requirements to meet up.. I think it's rather hard to maintian any healthy friendship.

I want a healthy body, healthy mind and definitely healthy friends.

Every morning, wake up with a hangover is nothing to be proud about.
When you realised your physical attribute decline rapidly than normal........
And the drinking friends around you are more obsessed with booze and boobs......

    Don't you have a problem?

    Shouldn't it be:

    "Apa kamera jadi apa gambar?"

depends on what you think 'normal' is. it's like comparing to drinking a nice cuppa cuppacino in porsche cafe, or simply make ourselves a nice cuppa homemade coffee while reading newspapers at home. either way works for me but i know im dislodging from my peers since last year and some of them cannot stand it. those who still count me as their friend respect my wishes to stay home and rest my body and soul. anything wrong? if going clubbing is about pleasing other pple, then i think one would be wasting his or her time. very tiring leh

    Don't you? *for a change*

    Shouldn't it be:

    "Apa kamera jadi apa gambar?"

Not orang or otak meh? Personally, I saw alot of "tak boleh" gambar come out of kamera mahal

Then you already have the answers to the "problems"

    We ALL have problems.

Identifying them is another matter. And willingness and wanting to deal with them is also a problem.

That is true. But a greater problem is to use that as an excuse for not dealing with the problems.

I sense a hint of self-pity. Pardon me if I am wrong.

As I mentioned earlier, we all have problems. You do not know mine. And I do not know yours.

While everyone is responsible for himself, one may need to ask if the status quo is what one wants?

    simple.

find solutions and stop thinking about the problems. you're just wasting your time thinking why this things happen to you. as for drinking, i don't really drink at all unless i'm in a really bad modo. if not, i'll just find some time to hang out with the uncles around here and have coffee or catch a movie. =)

benign has a history of being a self-righteous whiner who pretends to ask questions which poorly hide the fact that he's passing judgement on people whose lifestyles he doesn't agree with

you should reflect on your attitude before blaming other people for your life problems ok.

Don't you have a history of tail-gating me

However, I value your comments alot. The world is a dull place without people like you around

FYI, I am not righteous.....but I am trying.
