    Default Is it possible to manually stick on a filter to S45 Lens?

    Hi, i wanna get some filters for some effects and was wondering if it was possible to stick it onto a S45 lens...

    as u all noe, s30/40/45 not meant to support addon filters...

    but is it possible?

    Would the image be very lousy?

    not really... just be careful lor... dun switch off when the filter is on...
    I saw Cokin has a filter holder that uses the tripod base to hold a filter in front of the lens... dunno ur one can use...

    Yes, the cokin shoeholder. As long as you have a tripod mount, you can use it. The shoeholder pack comes with 2 filters and cost about $40, I think. You can check it out here:

    It's called the P-series, if I'm not mistaken.

    Yes! So if you don't like to play with PS, that's a good choice. Full range of filters for you to play with.

    Be careful with using those coloured filters, Auto White Balance may either negate the filter effects, or give you some other unwanted effects.
