    UV or Nikon NC Filter to protect the lens.
    ND4 Filter to cut down the amount of light if needed especially on a sunny day.
    CIR-PL Filter to get the polarizing effect.
    Star6 Filter to create interesting effects for Night Photography.
    R72 IR Filter for IR Photography.

    Never try on Food Photography before but the Star6 is more to create stars (starburst effect) from bright highlights such as street lights.

    I kept my UV on at all times, except when using Circular polariser. getting it "physically" is always the best and reduce time wastage in post processing. Any it's hard to stamp off those reflections u get without CP
