Hi,
i'd basically like to know what would be the smallest acceptable thread size for an attachment for the FZ5 before vignetting becomes obvious. I do come across certain recommendations online which suggest that it would be fine to use lenses which have a thread size of 49mm or 52mm, and others which deem this unacceptable. So basically, would something of the above mentioned sizes be fine, or does it depend on other factors as well? Thanks |

For wideconverters it is best to use 55mm lens attachment it is at its most widest. Zooming in whilst using a wcon is generally not a good idea. For the rest, it is really up to you. For macro and teleconverter attatchments it is possible to use from 49 mm to 55 mm as you would probably need to zoom in further to achieve maginification. For me, i personally recommend anything from 52-55. Hope that helps =) |

yeah that would be correct. and thank you very much for that, it really does help, though i'd also like to confirm this, since i'll be zooming in for teleconverter attachments, having that difference in thread size would not be noticable at all when in use?
