Dun worry about long term side effects, liver damage and so forth. All the off-the-shelf non-prescription medicines are very, very safe to use la. IMO, it is the worrying that is damaging.

For example, there are people who are on high doses of hypertension medicine for 30 years and they are still alive and kicking. Or those on drugs controlling diabetes - same thing they pop the pill for 30 years. Or the birth control pill as well - well, that is until menopause la. But then, Viagra is another thing - no one knows if there is long term effect, or if it's gonna to work after 10 years or got to resort to organ transplant.

BTW, it is the symptoms that panadols is relieving, not the root cause. So, if your headache is due to stress, you're relieving the headache, but not the stress. That is the problem with western medicine. They consider the body like a machine. Threat whichever part that has got problem. And if necessary, change the body part that has malfunctioned in the form of organ transplant.

Potato chips and beer... and you're worried about panadol side-effect? Is your headache due to hangover? All you need from a doctor is MC, natural and safe.

I'm not really worried about overdose.... but recently the normal ones doesn't seems to work for my headache anymore.

So I've upgraded to Panadol Extra now.... don't want to think what's next should my system starts to immune itself against the Extra....

Even photography got side effects lah.

You either end up with one eye big and one eye small depending which eye you use or a serious addicition to shoot half-clothed girls.

eveything should be done in moderation. I think 10 pills a day is a bit too much.

Anyway, i feel that its could possibly be manufacturer's mentality. There used to be only one holy grail, nowadays so many different types.....extra, flu and menstrual...Wonder whether the original is lower "powered" due to promotion of the newer products with higher pricing.

Nevertheless, dont take too much drug. If you can, just rest more and drink more water and take more fruits. Also, the recent flu bug could be due to the lowering of immunity in the general public due to late nights (blame it on world cup) and mental stress (due to gambling on world cup) and excuse for MC (due to watching world cup) hahahahaha. But seriously, flu is mutating fast too. So important rule, finish the antibiotics, dont have to finish paracetamol. hehehe. FIGHT AGAINST ARBS (antibiotic resistant bacterial strain).

well.. i think such drugs can be addictive, for you now it's probably gonna be like quitting tobacco or alcohol...... and please do so, cos liver damage is no joke..... i've got story to tell, but ermm not here i guess... would advise you to do get consult your doctor and maybe do liver function blood test....
