No Verification Image shown for New user registration

Hello, there's no verification image shown on the user registration page. Only the alt text "registration image" is shown. Trying to load the pic on a new page shows the error

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: imagecreatetruecolor() in /var/www/clubsnap.org/forums/includes/class_image.php on line 1301
