can filters be screw on directly to the S602? or need a lens adaptor?

You will need to buy a lens adapter. You can get a 3rd party 55-52mm adapter or the original 55-55mm adapter from Fujifilm that comes with either of their WC or TC.

one more question. can the 602Z be a webcam (eg netmeeting) or it can be a webcam only through the software provided?

But wont ur heart go "ouch ouch" using ur s602z as a webcam?
also..the prob with the cam is that the lcd is on all the time. Scared it will spoil leh...it gets hots after some time... |

why leh? so the concern here is that the LCD is on all the time? no way to turn it off?

yup..no way to turn it off....unless the lcd goes ka-put...then we'll go mamamia....
Big oversight by fuji. My previous S304 also got the same problem. Ended up buying a separate webcam for my website... |

Nope...LCD...1.8" LCD
You mean your S602Z has the EVF on instead? I tried pressing the EVF/LCD button but cannot change... hmmm |
