but lately the purchase plaqued by slow response (took up to a week to answer email) and a small hiccup with a wrongly valued invoice given, luckily i clear it out with the custom.

by the way, i find my lens changer 50 too big, want to downsize to changer 25. anyone keen?

Zoosh, I think I might want to exchange 1-for-1 my LC15 with your LC50 IF you can use it teehee. I use it occasionally for my 85/1.8, snug fit, no hood. What did Tom Shen get?

CH, you can look at a Speed Changer (accessory bag, holds 04 x 1D's batteries, or 02 x 1D batteries with one 85/1.8 and one 50/1.8 stacked [maybe 1.4 can fit instead of the 50/1.8, I don't know]), Lightning Fast (550EX/580EX with Omnibounce), Whip It Out (for 70-200/2.8, IS or not, doesn't matter - note NO tripod collar can be used this way - hood MUST be attached OUTSIDE). For a 24-70/2.8, maybe a LC35 or LC25. You'd like to have a Pixel Rocket Pocket to carry your other CF/SD cards too. It's also easier to walk around with the 1D + 24-70 fixed up, on the shoulder, ready to go. If there's rain, it's still sealed - the other items can be waterproofed with the individual rain covers.

    My personal kit consists of
    Whip It Out
    Lens Changer 15
    Lens Changer 50
Speed Changer (w/ Pixel Pocket Rocket inside)
    R U Thirsty?
    Lightning Fast
    Cable Management 10
Pixel Racing Harness (used ONLY once)
Pro Modulus Belt (not the Steroid version)

How about the rest of you guys? Maybe we could start a communal list, loan and test etc. I haven't had the chance to help Doug to get to CP before Photokina, and I don't know if CP sent anyone over to take a look - but he might drop by Singapore once in a while. No comments on the items from the other users?

Email ThinkTank direct. Or try this page.

    http://www.thinktankphoto.com/purchase/ttp_order.php

You MAY be able to get some discount here and there if you email them instead of just ordering online. Brian Erwin should be the guy running the sales side of things now on behalf of Doug. My suggestion is to get a LC50 instead IF you can survive with the 24-70 w/o hood, or reversed - I'm not too sure if that's deep enough or not because I don't have that lens. This also allows you to put a wide angle lens inside since big pouches can hold small stuff, but not the other way round.

Email them your gears list then they will reply with a very good recommendation. I know Seshuan really like to use wip-it-out for the 70-200 IS 2.8, for me I prefer to use 75Lens Changer. I prefer 75LC coz it allows me to have the collar still attached, also allows me to holster my 5D + 70-200f2.8L + TC1.4X + collar + hood(not reversed). By holstering my gear as such, I relieved my shoulders from the weight, but of course I make sure I still have the camera strap around my shoulder, just in case.

Regarding payment mode, let me quote them...
No problem placing your order, however, we are not set up to do PayPal. We can take Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Postal Money Order or wire transfer. Money order and wire transfer will delay the process as we have to receive the funds before we ship your order.

Saperboy, I use the Whip It Out for holstering my 70-200 + 1D too. Only problem is that I can't use the lens hood this way. But these days I can't be too bothered with a lens hood, unless I really HAVE to.

If there would be a situation where I wouldn't mind not having a hood, I'd definitely be using whip-it-out, I also have that.

Yes. Only for the lens itself with the hood. You can't stuff the lens hood with the camera attached into it, you know...
