Is E1 for sale in Singapore

After seeing all the super offers overseas for the E1, I am wondering why it is not available for sale in Singapore? Have anyone seen an E1 for sale?

IT seems that you can get the E1+ battery grip for less than 1k sing.... wow....

just got mine from cameta. its USD999 for body, grip, and 14-54.

Cameta is in the states... not s'pore.

i bought mine for usd999 also (body+grip+14-54), the shipping costed me less than usd200.. so it's only around 1700+ in total..

I heard that if u buy from Cameta, the warranty attached is limited warranty. The coverage is only valid in US, not international.

Would not that be risky ? since we have not seen/test the camera , and shipped in parcel to Singapore ?

What if there is faulty, does that mean we have to ship all the way to Cameta or Olympus in US ?

actually cameta don't ship to singapore. i asked my friends in US to buy it for me then sent to me via post. anything goes wrong, i won't have a problem coz my friends usually come here too.. cameta was introduced to me by another CSer, they're reliable as what our CSer said..

the price is good..

so...the camera from Cameta dun carry international warranty. Any problem....will have to send back to US.

i bought mine from Henry's (Canada) and it came with international warranty.

i bought my camera personally from cameta as i travel there quite frequently. the warranty is international, and on top of that i got the extended warranty from olympus which brings it to 3 years in total. also international according to the card. so all i spent was 999+68 usd.

just came back from bangkok. There is a shop in MBK selling the E1 (body) for about 22,000 bhat (about S$850). Not sure about the price with kit lens. The 50-200mm is cheaper as well.... about S$13++

Just wondering guys, if u are getting a backup body now,
would you get an E-1 (dunno if Cameta still have any more stock though) or the E-500?

I already currently own an E-1, sold off my e-300 some time back.

I guess some ppl might be thinking, wait for the E-3, get that then use the E-1 as
backup, but well even if the E-3 is out, it's definately gonna be out of my budget...

So was thinking 2 E-1s or 1 E-1 plus 1 E-500? I have not really used an E-500 before
other than the good reviews I have read...

The E-1 is really one hell of a camera! just holding and feeling it feels good mann...haha
