Default Thinking of buying CoolPix 3500

    Hi guys,

long time no come in liao...has been busy with my Home Theater System Upgrade, now it's almost ready.

I am currently thinking of getting the Nikon CoolPix 3500 DC - main concern here is "small" easy to bring around. Did a search in this forum and also dpreview but couldn't find much. Is there anything I need to note abt this DC?

I am also looking at V3 but dun really like the look of it.

Your comments would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

Why not try it out in a shop?

I have tried it out for a while. This camera is essentially a point-and-shoot, and if you need manual controls, this camera does not offer much of that.

There are quite a few other cameras which would be smaller, lighter, more compact etc than this Coolpix, so what other attractions does the camera hold for you?

I guess it's the "Brand" which I am attracted to. What other "small" DC can I get? Pls advise. Thanks.

    other compact sized cameras

    - Minolta Dimage Xi
    - Pentax Optio 330/430 RS
    - Kyocera S3/S4
    - Olympus C-50z
    - Casio Exislim M2
    - Sony Cybershot P7/P9

all above mentioned cameras are at least 3mp~
try them out, get a feel of them and see which one you like best

i was attracted to it once.. but try out.. and the sales person took me that it`s not that good.. due to the twist and turn u will touch the lens and the flash.. and one things is that it dun hv a view finder.. but some pple just use LCD only.. so nvm..
