Then you will have snow and sand (Gold Coast) all in one vacation !
Yeah did want to skip Grampians and go to Mt Buller instead....but that means another 8 hrs of driving to anf fro Mel...and its on the east side...so I tot might as well do a loop on the western side instead. Really not very keen on Grampians...more of a stopover.

Wow 7 adults and 1 child, can go for MPV car. eg. Toyota Estima
But the MPV may not able to put all 7 adults language into MPV.
May need to consider rent 2 cars

That was one problem we had...but we didnt quite like that idea of having two cars and each car becomes kinda sparse...when u have everyone together mroe to talk about and its easier to decide things ont he spot....that would also mean more drivers...

So the best alternative I can think of now is before we fly over, both families will have a seperate bag each to contain some clothes for Brisbane and we will leave that at the Melbourne airport luggage storage service and pick it up when we are flying to Brisbane.

Suggest you bring all luggage alone and save the trouble becos in case you may change plan.

If all squeeze into one 7 seated MPV may feel a bit uncomfortable due to no much space to move about and the journey is long and tiring.

maybe can consider rent mini bus. Mini Bus can take 8-10 persons.

Book online are cheaper than walk in and remember to ask them to provide street directory.

Too many people may have many opinion and suggestion so stick to your itinerary and avoid unnecessary detour.

Actually Tarago can take 8 person...and we have 1 child...and the rest of the adults are quite small built....so luggage and clothings I think we just bring enough can liao...somemore winter dont need 1 change of clothes everyday

Yap, can try Toyota Tarago 8 seated MPV. But people tend to bring more cloths on winter season and those winter wear is quite thick lor. So tell eveyone to pack the luggage wisely.
