Today when I went for my cousin wedding the rubber padding near the 4 way button fell off. Anyone facing this problem?

No. I suspect that it may be because i put it in a dry cabinet and the adhesive may have worn because of that.

My thumbpad's adhesive literally melted on a hot outdoor shoot. Going to send in for replacement.

Mine did not drop off, more like got moved off position.
What I did was, cleared off all the double sided tapes on both the rubber and the camera. Then cut to size (almost) of the 3M Super Heavy Duty double sided tape (around 0.5mm in thickness), and it's now back in place although it's slightly thicker than it used to be. But it's fine for me. Will be interested to know if this is cover under warranty and how long for SONY to get it fixed. ![]()

I did the same thing you suggested but finally lost the piece whilst in action at Jln Besar Stadium. Still using the FZ10 without that piece, though. ![]() |

Tried using doublesided tape. Can't seem to get the pad in completely in. This picture shows in red the rubber thumbpad and the blue is the ahesived tape used:

mine slipped the first time i used it, noticed that there was leakage of the adhesive, thought maybe i was holding the camera too tightly. its ok now, although i suspect it slides a little once in a while. anyone tried something like superglue instead of ds-tape?
