Default A moments silence for my keyboard

It is a sad time for me.

These will be the last few keystrokes my 6 year old Logitech keyboard will be making.

    "Why", you ask.

Well it is hard to talk about it, but; I was watching some detective thingy on the TV and when it finished, decided to surf CS.

I put down my can of Rum&Coke and started to log in when..... I knocked it over face down on my keyboard, flooding it

I know it is now only time. By morning it will work no more.

At least it will go out happy (drunk) and that gives me something to soften what will no doubt be a restless nights sleep.

Sssooo, Iii wouuld liikkee ttoo seennd thheese lastt leetteers ttooo yyoou wwhhillee iiit caan ssttill ttyyppe.

I once knocked my cup of milo over my old keyboard. I dismantled it and cleaned it.

At first was fine, then gradually it started to go crazy and finally fail, up til a point where up to half of keys are not working. Finally couldn't take it and got my current keyboard.

Im so sorry for your loss I know how you must be feeling, but at least it didnt suffer, it went out in a way that anyone would be proud of going, so lets not try and grieve too much, but celebrate its long life.

Best thing to do is to disconnect the keyboard, and rinse it out with water.

Once you are sure that the coke is flushed out... put it somewhere to dry out for at least a week (weather dependant - since its winter downunder now... make that 2 weeks at least).

When you are certain the keyboard is totally dry... plug it in and try it. It should work fine.

Well it did happen. My keyboard went to ASCII heaven in the wee hours of the morning.

I thank you all for your kind words.

I am shure it passed away in a good spirit. The keys "H" "I" "C" were stuck down.

Before I left home this morning, I buried it under a tree next to the black/chrome toaster that got run over about 6 months ago.

Please don't ask me about the black/chrome toaster as I am still getting counselling due to the shock of the tragic event.

But it is all a part of learning in life. Just as I always check the driveway for any stray/misplaced kitchen utencils.

I now know to drink empty any can of Rum&Coke before sitting at my keyboard, no matter how full it is, hic.

Once again, thank you all for your kind words and thoughts
Time, is an effortless construction :)

    Hi !

I have a keyboard that can also play piano (with piano keys) by Creative.
Bought from PC show and never used.

You want to take over ? Box still intact.
