under IMAGE->CANVAS SIZE, if there an option to choose the top & bottom pixel size individually ??

do it twice, let say you want top, right, and left is 0.5" borders, but bottom is 0.75".

    do it this way,
step 1, add 0.5" to all sides.
step 2, add 0.25" to bottom only.

    hope this helps.

Another suggestion... set your canvas size larger than your image, use the crop tool and drag it beyong your image length/width to your desired size and there you have it
