hi guys,
how can i improve on these? these shots are taken b4 i made my own bounce card.. so lighting may be harsh. pic 1, background distracting? pic 2, too grainy? comments please? thanks in advance! my 1st post on macros. hehe.. the spider is not happy...keep running in and out of the hole in the background and stare at me.. ![]() wacha lookin at? i have 1 feeler....so? ![]() |

i'm using the tamron90mm, direct flash from 430ex. yup...tats it.

#1, try bigger f.stop that will decrease the DOF so that you can blur out the BG but keep subject in focus - especially the eyes portion. But of course, avoid anything that's below f11.
#2, use lower ISO. I believe the grainy effects come from high ISO. All I can think of. Keep shooting to improve. ![]() |
